Run with Perseverance is taken from Hebrews 12:1, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” When we give 100%, when we train at our limits, we are forced to face our weaknesses, we are forced to learn from our mistakes, we are forced to evaluate our habits, and, in order to live as a champion, we will be forced to take personal responsibility for our actions. When things get tough, when adversity presents itself, we can have the tendency to point the finger away from us and place blame or excuses on other people or situations. How we respond to the challenges and failures we may face will determine if we make strides up the champions mountain or fall away. We must turn the finger around and evaluate ourselves. We must evaluate our habits. Do our habits and lifestyle point to the champion we were created by God to be, or not. Is our time and effort consumed with things that distract us from living the life of a champion? With your heart on the prize and your conviction on a Champion’s goal, have the courage to persevere in difficulty so you can rise to the top. Have the courage to be an Eternal Champion’s witness.
