This graphic is inspired by Hebrews 12:11-13, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.” Discipline is the foundation of a champion. It is doing the right thing not just sometimes, but all the time, even if it is very hard or humbling. Discipline is the will to maintain the integrity of your mission no matter what struggles present themselves along the way. If you want to be the best you can be, you must ask yourself the tough questions: Do you stick to your initial goal or, later on, do you amend it based on how hard you are willing to work or how disciplined you are willing to be? Are your goals truly goals and not just talk? And, do you really believe you can accomplish them? Belief is grounded in discipline. Could we truly believe in accomplishing our goals if our habits do not consistently point to them? Do you truly want to be the best you can be? Do your habits point to the champion God created you to be, or not? Do you maintain the integrity of your goals when you are faced with uncomfortable, self-disciplining moments? Are you disciplined in your effort, focus, priorities, and habits? Do you strive to do the right thing all the time, and not just sometimes? Living this out can be extremely difficult. It requires a clear picture of your goal. From there, it requires self-denial, training, discomfort, and courage; but the result is priceless. Discipline is the core of anything great. It is the willingness to give up something good now for something even greater. Discern what that is for you, and don’t give it up for anything! If you doubt yourself, Christ can break your unbelief. No matter how steep or how high the mountain, no matter how long the rope, He can lead you to the top. Say yes to Him, to the life of a champion. It is worth it! There is nothing more peaceful & satisfying than knowing you gave it all and stayed true to your mission. DISCIPLINE.
